SSG Chemical Safety

Chemical accidents are relatively rare - but can have devastating consequences. It is therefore important that employees, contractors, and suppliers who come into contact with or handle chemicals in a business know how to work with them safely.

You will learn about the different types of risks associated with chemical handling and how to protect yourself and others from illness or injury proactively. The course deals with different types of chemicals, what protective measures should be taken, and how to act in an emergency. This is an in-depth basic course,  which adds to SSG's basic courses in work environment and safety, and is developed by SSG together with representatives from the chemical industry.

Target Group

The course is aimed at people who come into contact with or handle chemicals in their work, whether you are a contractor, supplier, contractor or employee.

Implementation

The course is web-based and short factual sections are interspersed with slides, examples, scenarios and pedagogical exercises to increase student engagement. After completing the course, a diploma can be downloaded. Passed results are valid for 3 years.
