We have a problem that we need to solve - together!
SSG works for the common interests of the industrial sector. Today, Swedish industry accounts for a fifth of the Swedish economy. Despite this, the industry faces a number of challenges when it comes to finding the right competence, both in the short and long term:
- Billions will be invested in the north of Sweden by 2040.
- 1,100 new jobs will be needed in the steel and mining industries by 2026.
- By 2030, there will be a shortage of 30,000 electricians.
- Welding skills are one of many shortages.
- The industry must increase its attractiveness as an obvious career choice.
In addition, work should always be done in a safe environment where no one is injured. The right and up-to-date skills are essential to perform certain types of high-risk work.
